The lens is in excellent+ condition. The glass is pristine; the focus, zoom and aperture rings turn smoothly and positively; there is hardly any use marks on the barrel. The reason I did not rate it as mint is because I do not have the cover for the hood. It comes with front and rear lens cap and the screw-on hood. This is an under-rated lens in my opinion and consequently a great value. It was built by Kyocera (who manufactured the Contax line of camera and lenses) for Leica and the build quality...

Leica M and Nikon G mount adapters for Pentax Q announced

One of the advantages of mirrorless camera systems is their ability to work with a variety of third-party lenses through the use of mount adapters — while you usually lose autofocus ability, it's a great way to make use of your legacy glass collection. There have been a whole host of these released for Micro Four Thirds and Sony NEX, but the diminutive Pentax Q is getting in on the action this month with Leica M and Nikon G adapters from Rayqual. This follows Pentax's own K mount adapter for the Q that it showed off earlier this month.

The net is that if you want a midpriced binocular, go with the Vortex Viper HD 8×32 and if you want a set of compact then it is the Vortex Vanquish 8×26. In 2011, they are replaced by the viper HD at $560. Or wait for reviews of the HD to make sure they didn’t go backwards. At the high end are the 8×42 and then Ye midsized 8×32. And the Vortex Fury 8×32 is just $300 so the easy value winner but also discontinued. Been wanting a super compact and then a high quality one for years. All in all a lighter 8×32 seems right for casual use. The best values are the Vortex Viper. Well while other shop in stores I can shop online. Then high quality and moderate prices are the Meopta at $800 and the Aspen at $700. With bike computer and lights picked out what about binoculars. And easier to position because with a 42mm wide Lense even though they have the same 8x magnification you get more light....

50mm Summicron Overview

More D4 rumours surface

In fact, my M9 plus the 21mm voigtlander, 35mm zeiss, 50mm summilux 75mm summicron, 90mm elmarit-m and a second body all fit in the same space that normally just barely fits my D700 + 24-70mm f/2. 8 lens in my small camera bag. If the specs they've released are true, then there will a clear separation between the D800 and the D4 which would be more in line with Canon's strategy of their top pro DSLR having fewer MP, but higher frame rate and more features in a larger...  This is why some people (myself included) love the M9. With the M9 you get 18mp in a tiny full frame body (by comparison). And believe me, the Leica lenses are much sharper and They'd love the resolution but the D700 is much less cumbersome to hike with....

Lumix camera price in India
